Pop culture Blog #4

Technology is something that is constantly being replaced by newer and better upgrades. Now a day just having the home computer is not good enough. Most people will prefer to buy a small laptop with a reasonable price. As a human being we always want the best of everything. Laptop is a great product to sell in all the electronic stores because the demand for them is always increasing.
Now days everybody is always in hurry. No one has any time to waste, or to relax compared to the past years. Everybody is in hurry and therefore need computers that can be carried easily and that are light weight. Take for example, our UGL library, we have so many computers in there for us to use, but we can’t wait for someone else to finish with the computer. This is where a laptop comes in handy. Having a laptop with you always can be very beneficial. You can move around and be comfortable at any place you want to sit. Also, you can go on the Internet any time you want, but you have to be in range of the wireless network of course.
Laptop saves a lot of space and utensil. By having the laptop in class, you don’t have to bring notebook, pen, or pencil etc. All your files will be save to your documents. Just open the file, and you will have everything you need. For some people typing what the professors tell you is lot faster then writing. Laptop comes in lots of different colors, and sizes. The shape of the laptop is also very important. You don’t want to carry a huge laptop, everywhere you go. In this new generation, smaller is better. One of the latest laptop that came out is the Swivel, which you can flip and turn the laptop screen.
Couple of years ago, not everyone could own a laptop for them self. And now if you just go to library or lecture hall, people will take their laptop instead of taking out a notebook. By having the laptop you don’t have to print out the lecture notes or any information to have around. You can also make yourself feel safe and put a JPS device to your laptop, which can be very helpful if you get lost.
Although lots of older people use, or own a laptop the younger people use a laptop, and purchase laptop more. The majority of the people in their teens or late twenties use and own a laptop. Now a day owning a laptop is no big deal. Almost any middle class family can afford a decent laptop. Still many parts of the world laptop haven’t been that popular. People might own a computer, but the connection is terrible. By havening a laptop going to a trip is no big deal. Because you can finish you’re work by sitting in bus, car, train, etc. Simply laptop makes our life lot easier. That is why laptop is so demanding.

My past experience with writing..

Hey everyone, it's already the third blog. Time really goes fast. My past experience with writing has been interesting. We all have some writing experience for example, writing a school paper, a latter, a resume, or simply notes. All those are some kinds of writing. Well in middle school I loved correcting grammar papers. Which isn’t really writing paper. I wasn’t very well at finding grammar mistake, but not as bad also. Through out my school years I never had to write a long poem. In my high school I had to write one long poem, about any topic. That should be essay, but I couldn’t find anything to write. The hardest thing for me was to rhyme the lines in the poem. I still have that poem, because I did very well on that paper. When I was very young I use to keep diary, and write about what ever happened that day. I don’t keep diary anymore, but I wish I did just to keep my writing habit. In high school I had to write a play for my English class, that was fun. Writing the play was not as bad as finding a twist and to make the ending very good was hard. Also in the play we had to have lots of detail. Detail wasn’t as hard as using fancy words. The play didn’t turn out as hard as I thought it would turn out. I can write but not as well as I should write in college.

About me!

Hello,

My name is Farzana Ahmed. I was raised in a small country in Asia called Bangladesh. I didn’t attend an English Academic school; therefore I did not know much about the English language. I came to United State about seven years ago not knowing how to speak English. It was very hard to communicate with other English-speaking people. I had to adjust to, mostly everything, which included food, clothing, people, and language. The first three years in the U.S. I lived in Platteville, Wisconsin. I attended middle school there. I was the only foreign student at that school. They didn’t have a bilingual class so I had to go to normal classes. Platteville is a very small town, and not too crowded. There are lots of farm areas close by. I liked keeping myself busy, so I joined the school track team and outside of school I attended a karate club. I enjoyed both of them very much, but karate was my favorite. After a year and a half when I had my orange belt, I was allowed to go to the karate tournaments. My first tournament was not what I expected, but on the second tournament I received two trophies one for sparing and one for forms. I ended my karate by having green with a stripe. I soon moved to Hamtramck, Michigan and finished my High School years from Hamtramck High School. While in High school I joined Key Club, tennis, student council and volleyball. In my senior year I was the president of Key Club, and co-captain of the tennis team. I still like to play tennis whenever I get chance, and the weather is nice. This is my first year at Wayne State University. I am undecided about my major, but hope to find something by next semester.
