Blog 10/ David McGrowan
I don’t know much about David McGrowan, but reading from this article he seems like an intelligent man. David McGrown talks about lots of different things in his article. They all lead to what he is trying to say that the media does not want us to see certain things or know about them. In his essay he also talks about news not giving us the good news, which will be beneficial to us. Like the story about Eisenhower, how he was saying the media is going to be very influential to the people as the time pass on. David makes a claim about that as well and talks in more details. David McGrowan makes another good point about how the news takes up talking about a particular celebrates, instead of covering a real story. He says that most of those problems that celebrities have, majority of the American have the same problems as well, and they are minor problem. Makes is about the school shooting. He says that the kids act violence because of listening to rook/rap music or playing video games with violent in the games. These things makes the kids feel like they have to be tough or that it is all right to be a little violence. Another time David McGrown mentions that the media is not suppose to be fun or entertainment, it’s suppose to teach us a little pre-knowledge about the politician from the both sides. All points David McGrown’s made in his article was backed us with real information, which made the article stronger.

Show analysis blog #3
This show has a little bet of everything, politics, suspense, family value, leadership, little violence, and fighting for the truth. Prison Break is about one younger brother Michael trying to breaks his older brother Lincoln out of jail. When Lincoln told Michael that he didn’t kill the vice Presidents brother (he is not died yet), Michael believed his brother. Michael finished his master degree in civil engineering, and works at a very prestigious firm. Michael the younger brother has tattooed his body with the jail map. Then robes a bank and comes to the same jail as his brother in jail. The first session was about how there life was in jail. The second season is about what happens after they are out of jail. Running away awhile everybody’s trying to catch them for the reward they will receive. The brothers are also trying to prove themselves not guilty.
One of the recent series of Prison Break was played in Monday 5, 2007. This series show how one-person threats the other person to get what they want. The FBI is being treating by the people in higher authority then they are in. If he does not finish this job, his family will be in danger. The President was treating to say the truth or else Michael the younger brother will play one of her privet talk with the brother in the live TV, who was suppose to be dead. And at the end of the show when the President was about to appear on the live TV to say the two brothers are innocent. That moment someone higher than her (called the privet group) threatened her not to free the brothers or else they will announce her secret.
People watch TV when they are bored or just want to relax. Pick one show from many different shows playing in the television. In order to keep up with the series one must really like and enjoy watching every series without being bored. Every show tries to give some sort of massage. In Prison Break the massage is no matter how impossible it is to prove the truth, trying to get the life they had was important. Michael and his brother Lincoln didn’t stop fighting to prove they were not guilty, even though every body else’s trying to kill them.

Favotite TV show Blog # 5
I watch a lots of different TV shows. One of my favorite TV show is called Prison Break. This show has a very unique story and lots of suspense to it. Prison Break has some funny parts but mostly serious. This show is about a brother being set up for the murder of Presidents brother. He is sentence to die. The younger brother designs the whole jail and tries to save his brother. Of course he pretended to robe a bank near the jail his brother is in. The younger Micheal was played by Wentworth Miller. He did an excellent job playing his part and I enjoy watching his performance. Every Monday I wait to watch his show to find out what will happen next. There are lots of other charates who do a nice job playing their character. I haven’t missed any series as of now. This show is playing for more than a year now. I like this show because of the story it’s realistic, this can happen to some people. This show shows how a simple guy can be trapped into doing something they would never dream of doing. How so many people die in order to get the right information out? Anybody who comes a little close to finding out who is into this they are either dead or running for their life. This show has not lots of bad parts to which other shows have. Prison Break has lots of violence part to it which can prevent the younger kids to not watch. I can watch this show for the whole day and not get bore.

Analysis Blog #2
Almost everyone listens to music whether we know it or not. We might have music in our car, home, I-pod, or on the way to school, or even playing in stores. The kinds of music we like listening to when we are bored, studying, or just to chill, reflects our mood at that time. Rascal Flatts writes mostly country music, but has a little of rock in it. He wrote the song, “Life is a Highway”, from the move Car, but the song I am analyzing is not as popular called “What Hurts The Most”.
In this song they talk from a girls point of view and how much it hurts to lose someone in your life so much and not being able to express what you wanted to when he was alive. Also, in the lyric say that the girl in the song can’t deal with seeing all their friends, living day by day but the thing that hurts and bothers her is not being able to say everything from her heart to him. After interpreting this song I understood that the girl feels very sad when the guy she loved passed away because she never had the chance to tell him how much she loved him. In the lyrics “What hurts the most” the chorus is the following:
‘What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you,
Is what I was trying to do.’
(Rascal Flatts)
These lyrics indicate that this girl had so much to say to the one she loves so dearly but now she can’t and it’s killing her inside. All she can do is think about the future, how it would have been, but now she can only wonder and can’t do anything. She is also saying how much it hurts seeing him walk away for the last time from her life forever and not being able to do anything because she didn’t know that he’d be lost.
Another line from the lyrics
‘Getting up, getting dressed, livin' with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken’
(Rascal Flatts)
From these lines we can say that she regret not saying, what she felt about this boy, and if she could get one more chance with him, she would express what she left unspoken in her heart to him.
This song is sad with lots of emotions going on, but still has a little rock to add to the country sadness sound. Rascal Flatts made certain words from his lyrics longer and louder, to show how much it really hurts, to get the anger and the pain out from heart to words. This song will be have an audience of whomever has lost someone, who they can relate to there personal life. In the song the girl had to pretty much deal with everything even though it hurts, but the thing that really hurts her is not saying what she felt about him in her heart. So the songs main point is that if you want to save pain in the future, don’t wait to tell the person you love how much you care, because you never know if you’ll get that chance tomorrow.

Listening to favorite radio station
I don’t really listen to any radio station. When I have free time I usually listen to my CD’s or I-pod. Since we have to listen to a radio station for an hour I picked 95.5 FM. I have some cousin’s who likes to listen to 95.5. I like all different kinds of music, country, hip-hop, or rock. At work I have to listen to one of the jazz station, which was good at first, but it’s extremely boring now. I don’t prefer to listen to any songs with cursing words. If the lyrics of the music are not well written, I think it’s not necessary for me to waste my time listening to music. I didn’t know what kinds of music to expect from 95.5. I was listening to what ever they were playing within that hour. I liked most of the song beside some. Thou it was very boring to listen to music when I was thinking about my biology exam to study for. I think the target audience for this station are the teens or people in there late twenties. Because right now most of the younger people prefer to listen to hip-hop lot more. But even thou majority of the younger generations like listening to hip hop, I think there are still a big portion of the grown up who enjoy listening to music that’s being played in 95.5. From listening to the ads in the station 95.5, the one thing that I heard most was they talk about the different parties that you can go to in the Detroit areas. So people who likes to party its a good way for them to find out where the parties are at.

Technology is something that is constantly being replaced by newer and better upgrades. Now a day just having the home computer is not good enough. Most people will prefer to buy a small laptop with a reasonable price. As a human being we always want the best of everything. Laptop is a great product to sell in all the electronic stores because the demand for them is always increasing.
Now days everybody is always in hurry. No one has any time to waste, or to relax compared to the past years. Everybody is in hurry and therefore need computers that can be carried easily and that are light weight. Take for example, our UGL library, we have so many computers in there for us to use, but we can’t wait for someone else to finish with the computer. This is where a laptop comes in handy. Having a laptop with you always can be very beneficial. You can move around and be comfortable at any place you want to sit. Also, you can go on the Internet any time you want, but you have to be in range of the wireless network of course.
Laptop saves a lot of space and utensil. By having the laptop in class, you don’t have to bring notebook, pen, or pencil etc. All your files will be save to your documents. Just open the file, and you will have everything you need. For some people typing what the professors tell you is lot faster then writing. Laptop comes in lots of different colors, and sizes. The shape of the laptop is also very important. You don’t want to carry a huge laptop, everywhere you go. In this new generation, smaller is better. One of the latest laptop that came out is the Swivel, which you can flip and turn the laptop screen.
Couple of years ago, not everyone could own a laptop for them self. And now if you just go to library or lecture hall, people will take their laptop instead of taking out a notebook. By having the laptop you don’t have to print out the lecture notes or any information to have around. You can also make yourself feel safe and put a JPS device to your laptop, which can be very helpful if you get lost.
Although lots of older people use, or own a laptop the younger people use a laptop, and purchase laptop more. The majority of the people in their teens or late twenties use and own a laptop. Now a day owning a laptop is no big deal. Almost any middle class family can afford a decent laptop. Still many parts of the world laptop haven’t been that popular. People might own a computer, but the connection is terrible. By havening a laptop going to a trip is no big deal. Because you can finish you’re work by sitting in bus, car, train, etc. Simply laptop makes our life lot easier. That is why laptop is so demanding.

My past experience with writing..
Hey everyone, it's already the third blog. Time really goes fast. My past experience with writing has been interesting. We all have some writing experience for example, writing a school paper, a latter, a resume, or simply notes. All those are some kinds of writing. Well in middle school I loved correcting grammar papers. Which isn’t really writing paper. I wasn’t very well at finding grammar mistake, but not as bad also. Through out my school years I never had to write a long poem. In my high school I had to write one long poem, about any topic. That should be essay, but I couldn’t find anything to write. The hardest thing for me was to rhyme the lines in the poem. I still have that poem, because I did very well on that paper. When I was very young I use to keep diary, and write about what ever happened that day. I don’t keep diary anymore, but I wish I did just to keep my writing habit. In high school I had to write a play for my English class, that was fun. Writing the play was not as bad as finding a twist and to make the ending very good was hard. Also in the play we had to have lots of detail. Detail wasn’t as hard as using fancy words. The play didn’t turn out as hard as I thought it would turn out. I can write but not as well as I should write in college.

About me!
Hello,
My name is Farzana Ahmed. I was raised in a small country in Asia called Bangladesh. I didn’t attend an English Academic school; therefore I did not know much about the English language. I came to United State about seven years ago not knowing how to speak English. It was very hard to communicate with other English-speaking people. I had to adjust to, mostly everything, which included food, clothing, people, and language. The first three years in the U.S. I lived in Platteville, Wisconsin. I attended middle school there. I was the only foreign student at that school. They didn’t have a bilingual class so I had to go to normal classes. Platteville is a very small town, and not too crowded. There are lots of farm areas close by. I liked keeping myself busy, so I joined the school track team and outside of school I attended a karate club. I enjoyed both of them very much, but karate was my favorite. After a year and a half when I had my orange belt, I was allowed to go to the karate tournaments. My first tournament was not what I expected, but on the second tournament I received two trophies one for sparing and one for forms. I ended my karate by having green with a stripe. I soon moved to Hamtramck, Michigan and finished my High School years from Hamtramck High School. While in High school I joined Key Club, tennis, student council and volleyball. In my senior year I was the president of Key Club, and co-captain of the tennis team. I still like to play tennis whenever I get chance, and the weather is nice. This is my first year at Wayne State University. I am undecided about my major, but hope to find something by next semester.
